Job summary

AT&S in Leoben is seeking a Manufacturing Execution Systems Engineer to join the OT ApplicationsTeam. You will act as a key specialist for MES, ensuring efficient operation and continuous improvement of manufacturing IT systems.

Collaborate with stakeholders to implement, customize and maintain MES solutions, aligning IT with business goals and driving domain strategies. You will troubleshoot complex issues and support IT projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE/Automation or related field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Strong MES systems experience and L3 integration in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Critical Manufacturing MES is a plus.
• Basic understanding of TypeScript and C#; good T-SQL knowledge.
• Familiar with Agile software development methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and documentation skills.
• Excellent communication skills in English; able to collaborate internationally.

Manufacturing Execution Systems Engineer

In your role, you will act as a key Specialist for OT BUILD MES, ensuring the efficient operation and continuous improvement of manufacturing IT systems. You will provide expert support in implementing, customizing, and maintaining hardware and software solutions within the MES environment. By collaborating closely with stakeholders, you will contribute to the development of domain strategies, optimize system performance, and ensure the seamless integration of IT solutions in line with business objectives. Your expertise will be essential in troubleshooting complex issues, driving innovation, and maintaining high-quality, sustainable IT solutions.

Your Responsibilities

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable field with at least 3 years of relevant experience
• Strong experience with MES systems and L3 integration in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of Critical Manufacturing MES (certification is an advantage)
• Basic understanding in TypeScript and C# and good knowledge of T-SQL
• Familiarity with agile software development methodologies
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Team player with intercultural competence and experience in international collaboration
