As a Manager in Interpath’s Procurement Consulting team, you will work with experienced colleagues to deliver multi‑stakeholder, international and domestic procurement projects while raising Interpath’s profile as a premier provider of value‑creation advisory services. The successful candidate will lead colleagues on a diverse range of client projects such as:
Responsibilities
- Assess current procurement processes and collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and strategic priorities
- Identify improvement opportunities by analysing bottlenecks, inefficiencies, cost drivers, and risks across procurement, logistics, planning, and distribution
- Design and implement cost‑effective procurement strategies that ensure compliance in addition to a positive impact on EBITDA, working capital and operational KPIs
- Conduct supplier evaluations, including leading negotiations, managing contracts and benchmarking against best practices to support ongoing supplier performance management
- Manage stakeholders and articulate procurement value to CFO, COO & supply chain leadership, preparing reports, forecasts, and spend analyses to inform strategic decision‑making
- Lead or support large‑scale change‑management transformation initiatives, including organisational restructuring, acquisition integration, and readiness planning for operational disruptions
- Work in very close collaboration with the local Austrian Managing Director to actively support sales and business development initiatives and help build and scale Interpath Advisory’s presence in Austria
- Engage with potential new clients, building trusted relationships and identifying new opportunities across the Austrian market
Qualifications
- Strong academic background, including a Master’s or PhD, combined with hands‑on experience in procurement consulting and project management
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and on‑site teams while assuming responsibility for cost control and implementation outcomes
- Strong commercial understanding including P&L impact and the ability to connect procurement to cash, EBITDA, working capital and operational KPIs
- Excellent category knowledge, including category‑specific market dynamics, key suppliers, cost drivers, and negotiation levers
- Familiarity with eProcurement/P2P systems, spend analytics tools & data visualization
- Demonstrating a strong entrepreneurial spirit, taking ownership beyond project delivery and contributing proactively to the growth, visibility and market positioning of the Austrian platforms
- Representing Interpath’s Centre of Excellence (CoE) Procurement at procurement roundtables, industry forums and external events, acting as a credible ambassador and thought leader for the firm
- Actively support pitches and proposals, contributing commercial insight, market knowledge and compelling client narratives
- Well‑developed team leadership and coaching capabilities, particularly in fast‑paced environments, supported by excellent communication and influencing skills
- Native or business‑fluent proficiency in German and English (C1) required; additional European languages such as French or Spanish are advantageous
- Willingness to work on client sites across Germany, the EU, and internationally
