About the Role

Based in our Oxley Head office, this hands‑on leadership role oversees day‑to‑day emergency response operations, safety management, and team capability. You'll work across a diverse range of rescue & training environments and play a key role in developing the skills and readiness of our operational teams.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and coordinate emergency response operations
• Conduct and supervise technical rescue across varied environments
• Support severe weather and multi‑agency operations
• Deliver accredited and non‑accredited training programs
• Oversee skills maintenance and readiness drills
• Uphold safety standards, WHS compliance, and conduct safety investigations
• Mentor operational teams and support leadership development
• Participate in on‑call Duty Officer rotations

About You

• Have operational experience in emergency services, Australian Defence Force, SES, aviation rescue or similar
• Be confident leading teams during dynamic operational environments
• Hold Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or be eligible to attain
• Communicate clearly and work well within a team
• Be organised, adaptable, and able to respond at short notice
• Be committed to maintaining high safety and professional standards

Relevant technical rescue, first aid, driving, and incident management qualifications will be highly regarded.

Candidates must have a minimum of 3‑5 years operational experience in emergency services, Australian Defence Force, or similar organisations.

Australian citizenship is required for this position.

Certificate IV in Training and Assessment must be obtained within 6 months of commencing the role if not currently held.
