Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracts – 6848

Our client is a specialist biotherapeutics manufacturer with over a century of experience treating various diseases worldwide. They are committed to patients with coagulation disorders, immunological diseases, enzyme deficiency diseases and other rare diseases.

Our client is currently looking for an experienced Legal Counsel – Commercial Contracts (Contracts Manager) for 1 year contract (with potential extension) based out of Bern, Switzerland. This is a hybrid role with 3 days onsite per week requirement.

Main Responsibilities

• Responsible for independently drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of legal agreements for the EMEA region, including MSAs, HCP and HCO contracts, CDAs, and other commercial templates.
• Create, maintain and update contract templates, identify opportunities for process optimization, manage agreements through the contract lifecycle management system, and provide solution oriented legal support to internal business partners.
• Additional responsibilities include preparing training materials and maintaining FAQs related to standard agreements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
• Master of Law degree plus national legal qualification.
• 3–5 years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts in a law firm or international corporate environment (biotech/pharma a plus).
• Language requirements:
  • English: native or business proficient (mandatory)
  • German: native or business proficient (mandatory)
  • French: strong advantage
• Strong commercial contracting knowledge and ability to manage agreements end to end with minimal supervision.
