Senior Legal Counsel – AI Law, Data Protection & IT (Linz or Graz)

Responsibilities
- Advise management and internal stakeholders on all legal issues relating to AI regulation, data protection (GDPR), IT contracts, and digital products.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial and technology contracts including SaaS agreements, data processing arrangements, and software development deals.
- Monitor and implement emerging AI legislation (EU AI Act) and coordinate internal compliance initiatives.
- Develop internal policies and training to strengthen legal awareness and data governance.
- Act as an interface between legal, IT, compliance, and data security teams on global projects.
- Support strategic initiatives related to digital innovation, automation, and AI-driven solutions.
- Coordinate with external counsel as needed across multiple jurisdictions.
Profile
- 5+ years’ experience in IT, data protection, or technology law (in-house or in top-tier law firm).
- Expertise in EU data protection, AI regulation, and digital contract law.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to balance legal risk and business priorities.
- Excellent communication skills in German and English.
- Interest in technology, automation, and innovation-driven industries.
