JAGGAER is seeking a commercially minded Legal Advisor to support business across Austria, the DACH region and Europe. You will provide practical guidance on commercial contracts, technology and SaaS matters, data protection, corporate topics, and compliance.

You will draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of agreements, support negotiations with customers and partners, and help develop scalable contracting processes across European operations.

Qualifikationen

• Completed university degree in Law.
• 2–5 years in-house or law-firm experience in tech or SaaS.
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including SaaS, licensing, professional services agreements, NDAs, partner agreements, supplier contracts, and related documentation.
• Guide internal stakeholders on commercial, regulatory, and data protection matters.

What We’re Looking For

We are looking for a commercially minded Legal Advisor (m/f/x) to support JAGGAER's business across Austria, the DACH region, and Europe. This role will provide practical legal guidance on commercial contracts, technology and SaaS matters, data protection, corporate topics, and compliance, while helping the business manage legal risk and achieve its objectives.

• Draft, review, negotiate, and advise on a wide range of commercial agreements, including SaaS agreements, software licensing, professional services agreements, NDAs, partner agreements, supplier contracts, and related documentation.
• Support contract negotiations with customers, suppliers, and business partners, particularly across the DACH region and Europe.
• Provide practical legal advice to internal stakeholders on commercial, corporate, regulatory, and general business matters.
• Advise on data protection, confidentiality, information security, and technology-related contractual requirements in cooperation with relevant subject-matter experts.
• Identify, assess, and communicate contractual and legal risks while developing pragmatic solutions that support business objectives.
• Assist with corporate governance and legal matters concerning Austrian and other European JAGGAER entities.
• Support compliance initiatives, internal policies, and the implementation of legal and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance for the business.
• Support dispute management and coordinate with external legal counsel where required.
• Contribute to improving legal processes, contract templates, playbooks, and scalable contracting practices across the organization.

Success in the Position

• Provide timely, practical, and commercially focused legal support to internal stakeholders.
• Enable effective negotiation and execution of contracts while appropriately managing legal and commercial risk.
• Help strengthen scalable legal processes, contracting practices, and compliance across JAGGAER's European operations.

Position Requirements

• A completed university degree in Law.
• 2-5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally as in-house counsel within an international technology, software, SaaS, or B2B environment and/or with a reputable law firm.
• Strong experience in commercial and contract law, including drafting and negotiating complex B2B agreements.
• Good understanding of Austrian and European legal and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with technology, software licensing, SaaS, data protection, or IT-related agreements is highly desirable.
• Fluent German and English, both written and spoken, are essential.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills and the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly to non-legal stakeholders.
• Commercial mindset with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach to legal risk.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities independently in a fast-paced, international environment.
• High level of integrity, sound judgment, and attention to detail.

Nice to Have

• Experience supporting legal matters across multiple European jurisdictions and/or within a global organization.
• Experience developing contract templates, playbooks, or scalable legal processes.

• The minimum salary according to the applicable collective bargaining agreement (Kollektivvertrag für Angestellte von Unternehmen im Bereich Dienstleistungen in der automatischen Datenverarbeitung und Informationstechnik) is €45,738 gross per year (job family according to the collective bargaining agreement: ST1), with a willingness to overpay depending on qualifications and experience.
