Zusammenfassung

Sportradar AG is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own complex data projects, building scalable ETL pipelines with Spark on AWS and leading cross-functional teams. You will design data processing systems, APIs, and dashboards, while ensuring data quality and reliable delivery to stakeholders.

This role emphasizes ownership, collaboration, and modern DevOps practices, with an office-based setup in Vienna. You will work with a global Ads Analytics team, shaping data architectures and mentoring

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of data engineering experience and proven track record leading complex data projects.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.
• Very strong hands-on experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, Glue, Athena, Redshift, EMR) and Apache Spark for large-scale data processing.
• Strong Python for data processing services and APIs, plus expert-level SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines for data systems.
• Commitment to writing clean, well-documented code with comprehensive testing and analytics requirements.
• Experience designing scalable data architectures, data modeling, and optimizing data workflows.
• Experience creating and managing analytics dashboards in BI tools and data visualization solutions.
• GenAI tools experience (Copilot, Claude) is beneficial.

Aufgaben

• Scale and optimize data pipelines and ETL processing for terabytes of data.
• Design and build scalable data processing systems and microservices (Python/Go).
• Architect data flows supporting batch and real-time analytics.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and data quality assurance.
• Lead large-scale data projects from requirements to delivery and mentor team members.
• Own end-to-end data system ownership with high availability and accuracy.
