Mistral is seeking a senior leader to manage the Cloud Platform team, shaping architecture and hands-on technical direction for secure, scalable AI infrastructure. You will balance strategic design with practical delivery, guiding engineers and collaborating with product and business teams to ship robust primitives.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of real people leadership, manage engineers, hire, coach, and give honest feedback.
• Deep Linux internals including namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, virtualization (Firecracker microVMs preferred).
• Shipped production systems in Go.
• Knowledge of network isolation at packet level.
• 8+ years building backend or infrastructure systems.
• Collaborated with product, design, and business teams to ship software.
• Low-ego, team-first mindset.

Aufgaben

• Build the isolation layer: microVMs or containers, namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, snapshot and restore.
• Own the security boundary; ensure customers can run code safely.
• Scale to fleets: manage creation latency, density, and lifecycle for thousands of environments.
• Write Go alongside your team and own architecture decisions.
• Grow engineers: set ownership standards and coach beyond comfort zone.
• Own people management for the team: hiring, performance, growth paths, honest feedback.
• Partner with Product Managers to turn frontier research needs into shippable primitives.
