Meier Logistik AG stands for quality and reliability. As a medium-sized logistics company with many years of experience, the team offers specialised transport and storage solutions for goods beyond standard dimensions.

The Kuratle Group is a corporate group consisting of around 20 companies. Meier Logistik AG is one of them. Under the umbrella of the Kuratle Group, added value is created for customers by offering them complete solutions in the areas of trade, production and logistics.

Logistics is a core competence of Meier Logistik, a Kuratle Group company. Our warehouses are managed by logistics specialists. The EBA and EFZ logistics technician apprenticeships offer an ideal introduction to the profession. Eight apprentices are currently being trained at the various Meier Logistik sites by vocational trainers and experienced employees. Logisticians unload lorries, receive goods, check them and book incoming goods using a computer. With the help of industrial trucks or complex conveyor systems, they store the goods in suitable storage locations.

At the Kuratle Group, we train logistics specialists in the warehouse area. You will pick customer orders based on setup documents, pack them, label them and prepare them for delivery. You will carry out checks on incoming and outgoing goods and book the goods received into our merchandise management system (SAP). You will print delivery notes for dispatch and ensure that the warehouse is tidy and clean. During your training, you will take the forklift test and then work with counterbalance and four-way forklifts. You will use them to load and unload lorries and move goods around the warehouse. You will also help prepare and carry out warehouse inventories.

What does your training look like?

The EBA logistics technician apprenticeship lasts 2 years, while the EFZ logistics technician apprenticeship lasts 3 years. You will also acquire the SUVA-recognised forklift driver's licence during your training.

What happens on days when I'm not working?

In addition to your apprenticeship at our company, you will attend vocational school one day a week. The subjects on the timetable there are procurement, production, distribution, disposal, storage, communication/IT, transport, safety/environment and customer service. The location of your vocational school depends on where you live and where you are training. For example, apprentices at the Leibstadt site attend the vocational college in Aarau . During your apprenticeship, you will also attend 18 to 20 days of inter-company courses where you can deepen your specialist knowledge.
