IT Network Architect (f/m/d)

In your role you are a strategic and technical leader responsible for designing and evolving the organization’s IT architecture to support business goals. The role combines high-level architectural planning with hands-on involvement in key projects and emergency situations. Working closely with project teams, the IT Architect leads cross-functional efforts to deliver integrated, future-ready solutions. They ensure alignment with IT strategy, manage technology risks, and drive innovation through modern, scalable system designs—while also leading teams and providing expert guidance during critical incident

Your Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain the enterprise-wide IT architecture to ensure alignment with business strategy by continuously assessing business needs and translating them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Develop and communicate architectural roadmaps for systems and platforms to guide long-term technology evolution and investment decisions by collaborating with stakeholders and analyzing industry trends.
  • Lead and execute hands-on solution design for key IT projects to ensure technical feasibility and strategic fit by applying best practices and leveraging modern technologies.
  • Identify and mitigate architectural risks related to system interfaces and technology lifecycle to ensure operational stability and security by conducting regular assessments and implementing proactive measures.
  • Manage and govern architectural standards and principles across IT domains to ensure consistency and interoperability by establishing clear guidelines and reviewing solution proposals.
  • Provide expert guidance on emerging technologies and innovation opportunities to support digital transformation by staying current with market developments and evaluating their relevance to business goals.
  • Lead and mentor cross-functional architecture and project teams to build capability and ensure successful delivery by fostering collaboration and providing technical direction.
  • Align and integrate IT systems and infrastructure with business processes to enhance efficiency and agility by mapping dependencies and optimizing system interactions.
Your Profile
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information systems, Engineering, or comparable field or proven equivalent experience as an IT Network Architect
  • Relevant certificates (e.g. TOGAF, ITIL, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, …) are beneficial
  • Good knowledge in networking, cloud computing, databases, operating systems, and software development. Furthermore, expert knowledge in Network Architecture
  • Proficiency in system development life cycle methodologies
  • Experience in Project Management
  • Excellent analytical thinking skills including analysing complex problems, identifying patterns, and proposing effective solutions
  • High communication (including clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders) and interpersonal skills
  • Professional English skills to ensure effective communication
