Infineon Technologies Austria in Villach is offering a part-time internship in electronics and software for motivated students. You will gain hands-on experience in firmware development for embedded systems, UI creation in C#, and lab testing.

Join an international team to work with ARM microcontrollers, Modbus/BLE/CAN/USB stacks, and tools like Altium and Orcad while pursuing a Bachelor’s degree. Fluency in English is required, German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, IT or related field.
• Proficient programming in C, C++, C#.
• Hands-on ARM microcontrollers and PSoC for firmware.
• Windows experience for GUI development and testing.
• Knowledge of analogue low-voltage and high-voltage power electronics is a plus.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.

Key responsibilities in your new role

• Firmware: Development of control firmware for embedded systems
• Interface Protocols Stacks: Implementation of communication stacks for Modbus (MODBUS), Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Controller Area Network (CAN), and Universal Serial Bus (USB)
• User Interface: Development of graphical user interfaces in C#
• Testing: Execution of hardware and firmware testing
• Lab Work: Laboratory evaluation and measurements
• Academic Writing: Possibility to develop a Bachelor's thesis aligned with the internship topics

Type of employment: Temporary / Part-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.)

Duration: min.12 months

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

• Education: Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Technical Skills: Programming skills in C, C++, C#, basic skills with Altium and Orcad
• Platforms: Hands-on familiarity with ARM microcontrollers and Programmable System on Chip (PSoC) for firmware, Microsoft Windows for graphical user interface
• Electronics: Fundamental knowledge in analog low-voltage circuit design and high-voltage power electronics
• Teamwork: Ability to work in an international environment
• Language Skills: Fluency in English, German as a plus
