  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program (Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field).

Aufgaben

  • CMO Operations Support: Assist Site Managers with tracking timelines, communications, and delivery performance for outsourced clinical drug labeling, packaging, and device assembly.
  • Order & System Management: Learn and execute pre‑ and post‑production order tracking in the ERP system (SAP), including creating Purchase Orders and reviewing invoice reconciliations.
  • Sourcing & RFPs: Support the preparation of Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Statements of Work (SOW) alongside Procurement and cross‑functional teams.
  • KPIs & Reporting: Help collect, analyze, and report team Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive supply network reliability.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross‑functional supply chain projects under mentor guidance.

Position

As part of PTDS Global Clinical Supply Chain Management, the Production Enablement function ensures packaging operations produce materials required for clinical trials seamlessly, on‑time, and with optimal cost/quality. As a Global CMO Clinical Packaging Intern, you will support Contract Manufacturing Site Managers in overseeing external manufacturing partners (CMOs) worldwide. You will gain hands‑on experience in global supply chain operations, project management, and vendor logistics while supporting the delivery of transformative medicines.

Key Responsibilities
  • CMO Operations Support: Assist Site Managers with tracking timelines, communications, and delivery performance for outsourced clinical drug labeling, packaging, and device assembly.

Who You Are
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program (Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field).
  • Basic understanding of supply chain, operations, or logistics principles (pharmaceutical/clinical exposure is a plus).
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to collaborate across global cultures and time zones.
  • Proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace; familiarity with data analysis tools or ERP systems (e.g., SAP) is beneficial.
  • Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
Additional Information

Candidates must be enrolled at an accredited university or must have completed their studies at an accredited university within 12 months before the start of the internship.

For Non‑EU/EFTA candidates without a Swiss work permit permitting full‑time employment, a letter of the university confirming that the internship is a mandatory part of the student's studies as well as enrolment certificate are required in order to request the necessary work permit.
