Job summary

Bitpanda invites motivated students and recent graduates to join the DataHub as a Business Intelligence Intern in Vienna. You will bridge data engineering and business partners, building robust datasets, improving dashboards, and enabling data-driven decisions across Finance, Product, and Operations.

You will gain hands-on experience with a modern data stack in a fast-paced FinTech, contributing to metrics affecting millions of users.

Qualifications

• Current student (near-graduation) or recent graduate in BI, data engineering, CS or related field.
• Strong foundation in SQL, data modeling, and relational databases.
• Familiar with Git workflows and modern BI visualization tools.
• Excellent collaboration and communication in a fast-paced environment.
• Internship experience with dbt is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across Finance, Product, and Operations to identify reporting needs and design domain datasets.
• Maintain core data quality using dbt models and SQL; basic Python optional.
• Streamline dashboard creation and support self-service BI platform.

Your mission

As a Business Intelligence Intern within our DataHub team, you will bridge the gap between core data engineering and cross-functional business partners. You will play an active role in building robust datasets, streamlining dashboard creation, and optimizing our self-service BI platform to power data-driven decision-making across Finance, Product, and Operations. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with a modern data stack in a fast-paced FinTech environment while contributing to metrics that impact millions of global users. Hiring for these positions kicks off in October 2026 for a 6-month, full-time role, starting on February 1, 2027.

What you’ll do

• Collaborate across Finance, Product, and Operations to identify reporting needs and design domain-relevant datasets.
• Maintain and improve core data quality using dbt models, SQL, and optionally Python.
• Enable teams across the organization by streamlining dashboard creation and supporting our self-service BI platform.
• Support the evolution of dimensional models and the core data layer to enable advanced analytics.
• Work with version control workflows to maintain scalable and reliable data models.

Who you are

• Current student (near-graduation) or recent graduate with a background in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong practical foundation in SQL, data modeling, and relational database concepts.
• Practical familiarity with Git version control workflows and initial hands-on experience with modern BI visualization tools.
• Excellent collaborative and communication skills, with a passion for learning in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior internship experience in a dynamic environment or exposure to dbt models is a plus.
