The Brisbane Lions are seeking a passionate and hands‑on Hospitality & Events Manager to lead all hospitality and event operations for our world class elite sport performance facility, Brighton Homes Arena, in Springfield Central. This includes Roar Espresso café, player and staff catering, functions and match‑day hospitality.

This full‑time role reports to the Head of Venue within our Legal and Property team and will be responsible for driving revenue growth in our hospitality portfolio, delivering outstanding guest experiences, managing budgets and inventories, and building a high‑performing hospitality team aligned with the Brisbane Lions values.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Events & Sales – Proactively sell corporate and social events, build client relationships and maintain a client database, manage event contracts, planning, menus and on‑site delivery
  • Hospitality Operations – Oversee the café, bar, hospitality and match‑day operations, develop/maintain SOPs, ensure presentation and service standards and partner with kitchen teams for timely delivery
  • Financial & Administration – Deliver on revenue targets, labour and COGs KPIs, manage rosters, timesheets and reporting requirements
  • People Leadership – Recruit, onboard and develop FOH staff, conduct performance check‑ins and foster a customer‑focused culture
  • Safety & Compliance – Ensure adherence with RSA/RMLV, food safety, WHS, Club policies, maintain hygiene standards and incident reporting
  • Product Development – Support menu and beverage development, seasonal offering and marketing initiatives to drive sales
What We’re Looking For
  • Prior leadership experience in hospitality and/or event management
  • Experience in stadiums, clubs or large multi‑outlet venues including supporting match‑day hospitality highly desirable
  • Certificate IV in hospitality management desirable but not essential
  • Strong event and function sales and coordination
  • RSA & RMLV certificates or willingness to obtain
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams in busy/high‑volume environments
  • Experience with rostering, stock control and financial management including use of relevant systems
  • Knowledge and understanding of food safety and WHS requirements

Due to the nature of our business, the ideal candidate must be available to work odd hours, including weekends.
