  • Buildup, lead and develop the team of Quality Engineers based in North America.
  • Qualify and develop suppliers in all quality-related areas together with the SQE Team.
  • Provide support for new projects and serial production launches.
  • Coordinate on-site supervision of suppliers to identify non-conformances and risks.
  • Define, introduce and approve quality assurance tests together with the supplier.

As Head of Quality Gas Engine Power Plants, you will be responsible for the assembly and manufacturing quality of INNIO's containerized gas engine power plants. You will work closely with internal departments, our packaging suppliers and our service organization to ensure that the quality requirements and continuous improvement targets are achieved.

Your Responsibility:
  • Buildup, lead and develop the team of Quality Engineers based in North America including definition of necessary cross-functional processes to achieve quality requirements
  • Qualify and develop suppliers in all quality-related areas together with the SQE Team. This includes manufacturing, assembly, mechanics, and electrical systems
  • Provide support for new projects and serial production launches
  • Coordinate on-site supervision of suppliers to identify non-conformances and risks
  • Define, introduce and approve quality assurance tests together with the supplier and specialist departmentsSupport suppliers in processing quality cases (8D reports, root cause analysis, tracking measures)
  • Initiate and support corrective and preventive measures as well as continuous improvement projects
  • Conduct supplier audits to improve their quality management systems, including subcontractors, where necessary
  • Ensure the engineering change process execution at the supplier (including fleet programs)
Your Profile:
  • Technical degree (e.g. mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, production engineering) or comparable education
  • Proven technical experience for engine gensets and packaging of power generation equipment (Mechanical and Electrical)
  • Professional experience in quality management or supplier quality
  • Leadership skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to attract, mentor and build strong teams that deliver exceptional performance.
  • Analytical thinking, assertiveness, and negotiation skills
  • Very good communication skills in German and English
  • Willingness to go on a long-term assignment (min. 12 months) and travel for supplier audits and on-site support
  • A valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position (Non‑EU citizens: please attach the work permit to the application)
