Head of Enterprise Information Technology
Lead and manage the Enterprise Information Technology (EIT) function and team for Kubota Australia and Kubota New Zealand.
Collaborate closely with the business to deliver cutting‑edge, fit for purpose EIT solutions that empower Kubota and its departments to confidently achieve both immediate and long‑term strategic goals, driving business success and ensuring full compliance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and communicate a clear vision and strategies for Kubota's EIT capabilities aligned with organisational goals. Manage human, capital, and financial resources in compliance with parent company and legal requirements
- Lead and develop the EIT team
- Collaborate with Kubota departments to deliver current EIT services and design future‑ready, cost‑effective solutions that address business needs
- Oversee EIT policies, procedures, governance, IT infrastructure, software development, security, implementation, support, training and operations
- Ensure adoption of effective methodologies and frameworks (e.g. ITIL) and maintain strong governance
- Manage and monitor service providers and contractors to ensure quality, cost‑efficiency, and timely delivery
- Serve as the final escalation point for technical and service issues
- Act as primary liaison for EIT communications with parent company (KBT and Global IT Services)
- Lead EIT compliance, security, audit, risk management, and governance activities
- Promote innovation and emerging technologies, recommending and leading adoption to enhance Kubota's capabilities
- Prepare and oversee reporting to executives, parent company, and boards on progress, risks, and project outcomes
- Lead large or complex projects as needed
- Provide coaching and mentoring to EIT and executive team members to build capability
- Take a lead role in organisation‑wide initiatives involving EIT, such as Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, Health and Safety, Data Breach Prevention, and Privacy compliance
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology
- Significant senior level experience in a similar role, particularly in leading and managing an EIT function for a dynamic, complex multi‑national organisation including through levels of management with matrix accountability
- Proven ability to conceptualise, develop and implement compelling visions, strategies and plans and a track record of delivery to these
- Proven ability to review and implement through a team, effective methodologies, frameworks, governance structures, risk management and work methods
- Proven ability to lead, manage and develop a team of EIT professionals to ensure safety, role clarity, teamwork, high performance and engagement
- Significant experience delivering to time, cost and quality parameters in relation to project/ program management and governance for large and complex infrastructure and applications projects (both waterfall and agile environments)
- Strong generalist management capability including delegation, budgeting and management of capital and financial resources
- Significant experience and proven skill in relation to effective vendor and contractor management and governance
- Highly developed applied knowledge in relation to EIT industry technology, security and business systems and an awareness of evolving developments and their possibilities
- Proven ability to identify, assess and implement business‑appropriate and fit‑for‑purpose EIT solutions or changes (supported by appropriately delivered suggestions, recommendations, business cases, etc)
- Strong applied knowledge of organisational and statutory requirements and considerations in relation to EIT solutions and activities and a focus on statutory compliance. Ability to provide appropriate internal and external reporting in relation to these
- Understanding of statutory requirements in relation to consumer finance and their implications for EIT solutions (preferred)
- Highly developed interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach to business partnering/consulting
- Executive‑level communication, negotiation and influencing skill
