Kapsch TrafficCom AG in Austria is seeking a Hardware Development Engineer to design, develop, and implement hardware components for ETC and ITS products. You will work with cross-functional teams from concept to industrialization.

You will create analog, digital, power supply, and high-frequency designs, ensure EMC compliance, document specifications, support approvals, and contribute to the full product lifecycle. The role offers flexible hours and a competitive gross salary of EUR 60.000 p.a.

Qualifikationen

• Technical vocational training (HTL, FH, TU) in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Hardware Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent.
• Proven expertise in system and circuit design with EMC-focused testing.
• Analytical thinker with a structured problem-solving approach and independent learning aptitude.
• Experience with technical documentation and design specifications.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
• Fluent in English; German language skills are an advantage.

Role Purpose

As a Hardware Development Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing hardware components and products based on product requirements, architecture, and design specifications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams throughout the development lifecycle, from concept and design to verification and industrialization.

• Design and develop hardware components for ETC (electronic toll collection) and ITS (intelligent transportation systems), transforming complex product demands into innovative solutions
• Define and implement product requirements into hardware architecture and design specifications
• Develop advanced analog, digital, power supply, and high-frequency circuit designs, ensuring quality and performance
• Support approvals, industrialization, and maintenance to deliver exceptional hardware products
• Create simulations, algorithms, and software to validate and optimize hardware functionality
• Maintain comprehensive development documentation to ensure clarity and consistency throughout the product lifecycle
