The Johannes Kepler University Linz invites applications for a Graduate Teaching Assistant (Diploma/Master’s) in the Institute of Polymer Sciences for a 30-hour/week part-time, temporary role. Entry date 01/17/2027 and employment to 09/30/2029.

You will work in an interdisciplinary team to synthesize and characterize hydrogel biomaterials, using Raman spectroscopy, confocal Raman, rheology, and microscopy to relate chemical structure to biophysical properties.

Qualifikationen

• Completed university degree (Diploma/Master’s) in Chemistry,Biochemistry,Biology, or Materials Science.
• Interest in interdisciplinary and international teams.
• Experience in chemical lab work and material preparation.
• Raman spectroscopy experience is highly advantageous.

Aufgaben

• High-resolution chemical characterization of biomaterials using Raman microscopy.
• Physicochemical characterization of hydrogel biomaterials with rheology/AFM.
• Implement Raman spectroscopy techniques for biomaterials research.
• Collaborate on research projects and present findings at conferences.
• Assist in education and training of Bachelor’s and Master’s students.
