Bitpanda seeks a senior data protection leader to define and execute the global data protection strategy for the Bitpanda Group. You will act as the Group Data Protection Officer and primary contact for supervisory authorities, ensuring that privacy safeguards scale with our product roadmap and regulatory requirements.

Qualifikationen

• 7+ years of experience in data protection, ideally with top-tier international law firms, regulatory authority, and in-house privacy departments.
• Acted as an appointed Data Protection Officer.
• Fluent in English; German C1+ is required.
• Certifications such as CIPP/E or CIPM are advantageous.

Aufgaben

• Design and implement the enterprise data protection management system (DPMS) across international markets.
• Serve as the Group Data Protection Officer and main liaison to data protection authorities in Europe, UK, and UAE.
• Provide privacy guidance to C-suite, engineering, and product teams on AI, blockchain, and data privacy initiatives.
• Own the data protection control framework and oversee monitoring and remediation of gaps.
• Oversee DSAR handling, incident response for data breaches, and DPAs / international data transfers.
• Monitor regulatory developments in digital assets and translate them into actionable business strategies.
