Job summary

The UN Secretariat, within UNODC, seeks a legal affairs professional to support the Ad Hoc Committee on the UN Convention against Cybercrime and its CoSP, providing substantive, technical and drafting inputs. You will service intergovernmental meetings, prepare official documents, and contribute to databases of competent authorities.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in law or related field; or first-level degree with two additional years of qualifying experience.
• Experience in criminal justice, cybercrime, or organized crime.
• Experience servicing intergovernmental bodies and drafting official documents.

Responsibilities

• Provide substantive and technical support to the Ad Hoc Committee (AHC) and CoSP for the UN Convention against Cybercrime.
• Draft pre-, in-, and post-session documents and inputs for databases of authorities.
• Draft background papers and correspondence; review legal documents and advise on ratification and implementation.
• Compile information on legislative and policy developments and assist in drafting implementation tools.
• Collect and analyze data, identify trends, and present findings; guide staff and consultants as needed.
