Zusammenfassung

Nagra, the National Cooperative for the Disposal of Radioactive Waste, seeks an civil engineer to design Terradura underground structures and develop THM models for structural design. You will work with external partners and present findings to authorities and international experts.

You will contribute to digital planning with BIM and collaborate in interdisciplinary teams, bringing analytical and communicative strengths in German and English.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Experience in underground construction or tunnelling modelling beneficial.
• Interest in digital planning and BIM.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Together with external partners, you will design the Terradura underground structures.
• You will develop and evaluate coupled THM models to lay a central foundation for structural design.
• You will ensure that results are documented in a clear, transparent and stage-appropriate manner.
• You will provide a solid basis for important internal decisions.
• You will confidently present your technical expertise to the authorities and to national and international experts.
• You will share your findings with the technical expert community and present them at national and international events.

Profile & requirements

• A higher education or university degree in civil engineering or a comparable discipline, ideally with a focus on underground construction
• Initial experience in underground construction/tunnelling modelling
• Experience and/or interest in digital integral planning, e.g. BIM
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
• Independent and responsible personality with high social competence
• Pronounced analytical and conceptual skills
• Excellent communication skills and a confident command of German and English.
