A leading manufacturing company is seeking a General Manager to drive operational excellence and strategic growth in their conveyor systems division. This influential role requires a Bachelor's degree, at least 5 years of manufacturing experience, and proven leadership abilities. The compensation ranges from 170,000 to 190,000 plus additional benefits. The company promotes an inclusive workforce and encourages all applicants.
Our client is a family-owned Melbourne based company based in Campbellfield with a rich 30-year history providing excellence in conveyor systems and solutions.
They specialize in the custom design and manufacture of advanced material handling systems and equipment for the food and beverage industry, utilizing the latest technology and design techniques.
With rapid growth in recent times, and a global footprint, an offshore Asian manufacturing plant to complement their Campbellfield operations, they are the preferred manufacturer, fabricator and solutions provider to the food and beverage industries and packaging & palletising sectors.
They provide guaranteed solutions to enhance operating systems by improving efficiency, reducing costs and downtime with simplifying methods and increasing output through years of building intellectual property and know-how.
Their success is due to strong and continuing working relationships with major global brands with installation sites in the Europe, Middle East and many Asian countries and also SME’s that are both regionally and locally based, and they stand by their equipment and deliver what they promise.
We’re looking for a dynamic, results-focused General Manager to take charge of our material handling systems manufacturing operations and lead the business into its next phase of growth. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, and innovation across all facets of the business—from engineering and production to sales, finance and customer service.
Lead strategic growth and daily operations while fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement. Drive efficiency through lean manufacturing and cost control, while mentoring cross‑functional teams. Champion conscious improvement by encouraging regular performance appraisals, feedback, and development from a people‑first perspective to elevate team engagement and business outcomes.
