Jaipur Robotics SA seeks a Forward Deployed Engineer to install and configure edge computers, cameras and networking gear at customer sites, ensuring reliable system commissioning and cloud connectivity. You will collaborate with engineering teams to resolve field issues and document configurations.

The role is hybrid across Europe with frequent travel, offering ownership from day one and direct collaboration with founders and a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifikationen

• Degree in IT/CS/Automation/Electronics or related field.
• Experience with edge deployment and field hardware is a plus.
• Comfortable with Linux (Ubuntu), SSH and CLI.

What we are looking for

We’re looking for a Forward Deployed Engineer to support the deployment of our AI-powered vision systems in industrial environments. This role focuses on the installation, configuration, and debugging of cameras, networking devices, and field hardware at customer sites. You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure reliable system deployment and smooth commissioning, and stable cloud connectivity. You will build and own our deployment and commissioning function, defining the processes and best practices for bringing complete edge AI systems online for industrial customers, from on-site hardware setup to network configuration, system testing, troubleshooting, and handover.

Requirements

• Degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, Automation, Electronics, or related technical field
• Background as IT technician, computer engineer, PLC programmer, or technical diploma holder
• Comfortable working with Linux (Ubuntu), SSH, and command-line tools
• Good understanding of TCP/IP networking, routers, switches, VPNs, and basic firewall configuration
• Comfortable interacting with customer IT teams, electricians, and plant operators during deployments
• Experience or interest in camera installation and configuration
• Hands-on attitude and problem-solving mindset
• Ability to work in industrial environments
• Willingness to travel frequently

Nice to Have

• PLC programming experience
• Experience with industrial networks, VPNs and remote access solutions
• CAD or technical drawing knowledge
• Safety certifications / industrial site permits
