How You’ll Make Your Mark

Your main tasks in this role are:

  • You will lead the Global Business Services (GBS) Commercial team to facilitate the further development of the GBS organisation and drive significant value creation for Aldi globally
  • You will develop a small team of Commercial Leads to deliver outstanding planning, commercial and benefit tracking capabilities to the rest of the GBS department and stakeholders in the countries and Global Functions
  • Additionally, you will lead the commercial evaluation of BPO Provider tender offers for existing and new scope and lead contract negotiations
  • Aligning with Global Functional Leads on how to identify, track and report progress towards outsourcing targets and goals for their respective function is part of the role
  • You will create and deliver a consistent national planning and reporting framework that National Finance Teams can use to ensure benefit realisation in their respective countries
  • You will lead Board level and International Committee financial performance reviews evaluating the progress, risks and mitigations necessary to ensure benefit realisation
  • You will be responsible to support the evaluation of all new GBS opportunities and produce cost benefit analysis in line with internal controlling and project management requirements
  • Managing the budget for the GBS organisation and facilitate the inclusion of costs and benefits into the countries/global budgets will be part of your tasks
  • To optimise GBS reporting capabilities you will explore usage of reporting tools and dashboards
  • You will deliver project status reporting, identify and align financial compliance requirements with key stakeholders such as Group Taxes
Your Profile

The requirments of the role include:

  • Completed studies in business administration, economics, or related fields
  • 6+ years of experience in controlling, commercial, or management accounting roles
  • 3+ years of direct leadership experience
  • Confident in interacting with senior management and presenting complex financial models clearly to support decision-making
  • Experienced in producing business cases and financial models, with strong analytical skills and high attention to detail
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and able to work independently with a high degree of initiative
  • Proven ability to work effectively within a multinational and cross-functional environment
  • Advanced Excel skills required, with PowerPoint skills as an advantage
  • Fluent in English, with German as an advantage, and willingness to travel internationally
  • Eager to contribute to a new and growing team, with the ability to help shape the future of the GBS organisation

Remuneration

Gross annual salary starting from € 104.300*
