• Coordinate with auditors for interim and annual audits and provide documentation.
• Support internal controls and accounting standards compliance.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and back up team members as needed.

We are currently looking for a Staff accountant to join our team and ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the overall financial health of the company.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Management:

• Ensure the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.


• Record journal entries to close books on a monthly basis.


• Reconcile assigned accounts on a monthly basis.

Accounts Payable:

• Record invoices, obtain approval, and generate payments.


• Manage supplier tax documentation, including VAT IDs and other required tax information, support contractor income tracking, and ensure VAT compliance where applicable.


• Organize and maintain vendor records.

Audit Coordination:

• Coordinate with auditors for interim and annual audits.


• Provide necessary documentation and support during audits.

Compliance and Standards:

• Ensure compliance with internal controls and applicable accounting standards.

Other Areas:

• Ad hoc projects.


• Crosstrain and back up other team members when necessary.

Requirements

• Fluent German (written and spoken).


• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.


• Previous experience in SaaA or technology companies.


• 2+ years of experience in financial accounting or a similar accounting role.


• Familiarity with Hubspot, Ramp, or similar tools.


• Multitasking, analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $45K to 70K Euros annually. Individual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
