United Nations Industrial Development Organisation Vienna is seeking a Finance Officer in a fixed-term, full-time capacity to support COR/FIN/TCU. The role focuses on financial management, grants, and reporting for UNIDO’s technical cooperation portfolio.

Based at the Vienna duty station, the incumbent will lead financial oversight, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements across TC projects, with emphasis on accuracy and accountability.

Qualifikationen

• First-level university degree in economics, finance, business and administration or related field is required.
• Advanced degree (master/doctorate) accepted with reduced experience requirements.

Aufgaben

• Grants management: review and monitor open transactions, reconcile GL and GM/FI, and ensure timely closures.
• Financial management and reporting: improve procedures, ensure accurate closure and transparent reporting.
• Monitoring and controlling TC projects: forecast and report, identify financial risks and implement controls.
• System improvements and innovation: propose and implement enhancements to TC financial processes and systems.
