Job summary

Riedel Communications is seeking an Embedded Wireless Audio SW Engineer (m/f/d) to develop software for wireless-enabled embedded devices and communication platforms in a hybrid work setup in Austria. You will implement audio and real-time communication services, integrate drivers and middleware into embedded Linux environments, and ensure seamless interoperability across systems.

The role requires a Master’s degree in a technical field, strong embedded Linux and C/C++ skills, and knowledge of

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in CS, Embedded Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Strong experience in embedded Linux development and software engineering for embedded systems
• Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ and low-level software components, drivers, and middleware
• Experience with real-time communication systems and device-side technologies
• Solid understanding of audio technologies and Audio-over-IP
• Knowledge of SIP/VoIP, TCP/IP networking and distributed systems
• Experience with debugging, troubleshooting, performance optimization and system integration
• Fluent English; German is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop software components for wireless-enabled embedded devices and communication platforms
• Implement audio and communication services for real-time operation and connectivity
• Integrate wireless platform drivers and middleware into embedded Linux environments
• Develop and maintain device-side communication features for interoperability
• Enable mobility and handover scenarios for uninterrupted communication
• Design and maintain robust, scalable architectures for embedded applications
• Optimize software performance, reliability and resource usage
• Collaborate with RF, System and Hardware teams to deliver integrated wireless solutions
