Zusammenfassung

MED-EL, based in Innsbruck, Austria, is seeking an embedded Linux engineer with 3–5 years of Yocto experience to design and maintain high‑performance Linux stacks for cutting‑edge devices.

You will optimize bootloaders, kernels, and BSPs for custom hardware, and build automated pipelines to ensure reliable delivery. Strong C skills and Git familiarity are required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• 3–5 years of embedded Linux development using Yocto in a CI/CD environment.
• Strong C programming skills; knowledge of Git.
• Familiarity with C++, Rust is a plus.
• Experience with hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet).
• Good written and spoken English; German is a plus.

Your Tasks

• Design, extend, and maintain a high‑performance Yocto‑based Linux distribution tailored for cutting‑edge embedded platforms

Your Profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher degree (University, FH) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• At least three - five years of practical experience of embedded Linux development using Yocto, ideally within a CI/CD environment
• Strong C programming skills; knowledge of version control system such as GIT, familiarity with C++, Rust is a plus
• Experience with common hardware interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, USB, Ethernet)
• Team-oriented mindset with good English communication skills, both written and spoken; German skills are a plus

Minimum Salary:

Annual gross salary from € 54,723.53, based on professional qualification and experience.
