Senior Electronic Design Engineer (w/m/d)
Your contribution
As a Senior Electronic Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the development of cutting‑edge laboratory equipment for medical technology. You will leverage your cross‑functional expertise in electronics, mechanics, and optics to deliver innovative solutions that set new industry standards.
- Lead the development of advanced electronics concepts and architectures for state‑of‑the‑art laboratory instruments, integrating fine mechanical and optical components.
- Champion requirements engineering, translating complex customer and regulatory needs into robust technical specifications.
- Design and optimize analog and digital circuits, sensor and motor controls, ensuring seamless integration with mechanical and optical systems.
- Layout printed circuit boards, balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability.
- Drive the prototyping, testing, and iterative improvement of circuit designs, collaborating closely with cross‑disciplinary teams.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test concepts for PCBs in partnership with electronics production.
- Conduct rigorous verification, EMC, and safety compliance testing of electrical circuits and assemblies.
- Ensure adherence to relevant safety standards (e.g., IEC 61010) throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide expert support for production challenges and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Your profile
- Degree (HTL, FH, TU) in electronics, electrical engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in electronic circuit development, with proven cross‑functional capabilities in mechanics and optics.
- Demonstrated expertise in requirements engineering and the application of safety standards in product development.
- Profound knowledge of EMC‑compliant design and electrical measurement technology.
- Experience with regulatory requirements for product safety (e.g., IEC 61010) advantageous.
- Strong understanding of physics and its application in multidisciplinary projects.
- Structured, analytical, and solution‑driven approach to complex engineering challenges.
- Hands‑on experience in workshop/lab environments (e.g., soldering, prototyping, optical alignment).
- Excellent communication skills in English; German is an advantage.
- Experience in mentoring or leading engineering teams is a plus.

Due to the Austrian Equal Treatment Act, we are obliged to state the minimum monthly salary of EUR 4.689,25 (classification according to the collective agreement of the electrical and electronics industry based on full‑time 38.5 hours/week) as a basis for negotiation. Depending on training, qualifications and experience, an overpayment is envisaged.
