Zusammenfassung

CERN is seeking an Electrical Works Manager for the Cabling Section to expand and maintain control and power cable installations across accelerator systems. Role requires planning, coordinating, and supervising electrical works with on-site visits, contractor oversight, and documentation development.

The position offers a hybrid working arrangement within an international research environment, with opportunities to contribute to safety and project delivery across CERN facilities.

Qualifikationen

• Experience in planning, preparing, and overseeing industrial electrical works including lockout/tagout.
• Experience verifying electrical installations comply with standards and specifications.
• Experience supervising contractors.
• Relevant qualifications and professional experience in Industrial Electrical Installation or related field.
• Experience in construction, testing and commissioning of electrical circuits and networks.
• Experience in operation and maintenance of electrical circuits and networks.
• Strong organization, planning and control skills.
• Ability to drive projects to completion.

As an ElectricalWorks Managerwithin the Cabling Section, you’ll play a key role in expanding, strengthening, and maintaining CERN’s control and power cable installations, required for various systems within the CERN accelerators, such as alarm systems, process control systems, beam instrumentation and magnet powering systems.

• Analyse installation and dismantling requests, liaising directly with requestors as needed to complete the required information.
• Conduct on-site technical visits to prepare and coordinate the activities.
• Prepare bills of quantities and quotations.
• Develop comprehensive technical documentation detailing the work to be carried out by CERN's electrical installation contractor.

• Demonstrated experience in planning, preparing, and overseeing industrial electrical works, including the implementation of lockout/tagout procedures.
• Experience in verifying the technical quality and compliance of electrical installations with applicable standards and specifications.
• Experience in technical supervision of contractors.
• Technical certificate or general secondary education or equivalent relevant experience in the field of Industrial Electrical Installation or a related field.

Employment conditions

• A valid driving licence.
• Shift work, stand-by duty, and work during nights, Sundays and official holidays, when required by the needs of the Organisation.
