Apprenticeship at Fronius Electrical Engineering

Are you looking for an exciting apprenticeship as an electrical engineer? Then you’ve come to the right place! In this high-responsibility role, you’ll ensure that everything runs smoothly in our laboratory, office, and production areas.

As an electrical engineer in electrical engineering and building technology, you’ll be an important part of a well-coordinated team that keeps our infrastructure up and running. You’ll ensure everything runs smoothly in our system rooms across all our locations (which involves much more than just pulling cables or connecting sockets). With your skill and the necessary technical understanding and finesse, you’ll solve exciting problems with us—whether through intelligent control and regulation technology or the classic way with a screwdriver.

After completing your apprenticeship, you and your colleagues will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and controlling all technical systems and equipment in Fronius buildings.

You’ll work together with many specialist departments as well as safety officers, fire protection officers, IT technicians, and maintenance staff in the manufacturing sections.

• Basic training in Office programs, pitFM, safety
• Learning the mechanical basics such as riveting, sawing, filing, drilling, brazing, crimping, and pressing
• Learning how to handle tools and machines correctly
• Getting to know basic concepts in building control technology
• Construction of simple circuits
• Familiarization with the various Fronius products and their structure
• Basic electrical installation concepts, standards, safety
• Creating sketches of distributors and modifications
• Initial independent wiring of distributors
• Measuring and testing electrical equipment
• In-depth work with machines and systems
• Independent ordering of consumables and spare parts
• Learning to weld (MMA, MIG/MAG, TIG)
• Independently locating, isolating, and rectifying faults in distributors, building control systems, and electrical machines
• Installation and commissioning of distributors
• PLC and KNX programming
• Knowledge and possible applications of photovoltaics
• Knowledge of HVAC technology
• Planning and implementing your own projects
• Preparing standard‑compliant distributor circuit diagrams and implementing them
• Collaboration on small projects and their acceptance (building conversions)
