Qualifikationen

• Completed doctoral or PhD degree in Theology or a related field.
• Specialisation in the Old Testament; knowledge of Second Temple history.
• Excellent knowledge of ancient languages (Greek, Hebrew, Aramaic).
• Publications with international visibility in the field.
• Experience in obtaining and managing externally funded research projects.
• Excellent written and spoken English; German knowledge desirable.

Aufgaben

• Contribute to the research project '(Re-)Shaping Empires in the Hasmonean Era' (Graz).
• Conduct independent research on representations of the Babylonian Empire in the Old Testament (Judith) and related contexts.
• Collaborate with project partners at the University of Göttingen.
• Contribute to project-related publishing activities.
• Support the project leader and conduct own research and publishing activities.
• Assist in organizing project workshops and international conferences.
