A leading engineering firm in Austria is seeking a Director of Mission Integration to oversee various projects and ensure their alignment with strategic goals. The role involves leadership across people and programs, effective resource management, and driving business growth. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in program management, strong stakeholder management skills, and relevant tertiary qualifications. The Opportunity:
As the Director of Mission Integration, you will oversee the Mission Integration Operating Unit and its multiple projects and workstreams to ensure their successful delivery and alignment with KBR’s strategic goals. You will be responsible for achieving quality outcomes for clients, while maintaining strong engagement to understand and address their needs. You will provide leadership across people, programs, and growth activities, ensuring governance and compliance. Working with the People team, you will support staff development, retention, and engagement, championing KBR’s values and culture. You will also manage resources and budgets effectively to deliver business and client outcomes, and to grow the Operating Unit now and into the future.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the growth strategy for Mission Integration including campaigns, captures and other growth activities.
Ensure successful delivery of all projects and programs of work within Mission Integration, whilst meeting both client and KBR requirements.
Continuously improve project and program performance and quality.
Provide effective governance and compliance of projects and programs of work in a collaborative manner.
Build and maintain relationships with clients and key stakeholders internally and externally.
Lead customer engagement across the team.
Champion a collaborative and results-oriented culture focused on development, retention and continuous improvement of employees, systems and processes.
Develop and implement workforce planning to achieve strategic objectives in conjunction with the People team.
Support commercial, contractual and business development/capture activities as needed.
Participate in the development of budgets and financial targets and manage assigned budget targets.
Demonstrate commitment to HSE and promote awareness whilst ensuring compliance with targets and policies.
Required Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
Extensive previous & successful experience in program management and operational delivery within the Defence and government market.
Proven ability to lead large teams and get the best out of staff.
Proven ability to effectively manage relationships with key senior stakeholders both internally and externally in a Defence/Defence Industry environment.
Extensive & relevant network across Defence and Federal government with market/industry knowledge and expertise.
Results oriented and proven ability to drive sustained business growth through successful delivery to high standards.
Demonstrated experience in governance and compliance of programs of work and effectively managing and overseeing multiple schedules, budgets and teams to achieve success.
Tertiary qualifications in business, engineering, management, technology, or other relevant fields.
Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance.
Qualifications in project/program management.
Reputation as a thought leader, demonstrated by published articles, conference presentations etc.
Experience in managing geographically disparate teams and fostering a culture of inclusion, collaboration and excellence.
