A leading education organization in Austria seeks an experienced Early Childhood Teacher or ECEC Director to lead the Kindy Care programs across three sites. This role, contracted from January 19, 2026, to December 11, 2026, is part-time, requiring 16 hours a week mainly from 2 pm to 6 pm, Monday through Thursday. Successful candidates will demonstrate strong educational leadership, knowledge of relevant frameworks, and experience in collaborative teamwork. Above award salary rates are offered, including a retention payment.
Gowrie SA is proud to be partnering with the South Australian Department for Education in a trial of Kindy Care through 2026. Kindy Care offers extended hours of care at Department for Education preschool sites. Working with small groups of mainly 4-year-old children, the program has a relaxation and wellbeing focus. There are two educators at each of the three well-resourced sites.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of trialing a new service type for South Australian families. The Director – Kindy Care is responsible for the leadership of the Kindy Care programs and teams across the three sites at Clarence Park, Magill and Fairview Park. The Director is based at each of the sites on a rotating basis throughout the week to support the staff team and undertake mentoring of educator practice.

Gowrie SA is seeking a highly experienced Early Childhood Teacher or Diploma qualified ECEC Director to fill the role of Director – Kindy Care. This position will be contracted 19th January 2026 – 11th December 2026 and is for 16 hours per week, working 2pm-6pm, Mon-Thurs. The position attracts above award salary rates, including an additional 15% above award with the Early Childhood Worker Retention Payment.
