A major Australian water utility is seeking a Digital Metering Governance Manager to oversee governance and assurance for a large-scale digital metering project. This critical role requires at least 5 years of experience in governance and program management, with a focus on infrastructure or technology transformation. The position offers a competitive salary package and flexible working conditions, including remote options.
We’re on a mission to create a brighter future, where you can be a change maker at the actual source. We’re one of Australia’s largest water utilities with over 30% of Victoria’s population relying on us for their essential water and sanitation services.
Our award‑winning culture fosters an inclusive, collaborative, and flexible environment that enables our people to thrive. Here, you’ll be inspired and challenged to grow alongside us.
We're committed to reconciliation and supporting the self‑determined role for Traditional Owners/Custodians in water and land management.
As the Digital Metering Governance Manager, you will be responsible for governance and assurance to support the successful delivery of 1 million digital meters across our service area. This is a critical role on the Digital Metering Program, where you will lead program assurance, performance tracking, governance and controls, and benefits management. This 2‑year fixed‑term role is essential to establish monitoring and controls as the Digital Metering Program commences its full rollout. It is an exciting opportunity to shape the success of one of our largest transformation programs and help modernise our water services for customers.
You will work closely with the Portfolio Management Office in Service Futures and at the Enterprise level to provide regular reporting and insights on Program health. You will also collaborate with the team to satisfy assurance requirements from internal and external stakeholders, such as Treasury.
