About the Council

The District Council of Cleve is located on South Australia’s Eyre Peninsula and is home to a vibrant community with a strong agricultural base and a growing focus on bio‑economy innovation. With significant projects underway and a clear vision for population growth and regional renewal, the Council is well‑positioned to shape the future of the region for generations to come.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this newly created Deputy CEO role will take operational leadership of Council’s core functions, finance, human resources, risk, work health and safety, and administration. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to the CEO and work closely with the management team and staff to foster collaboration, build capability, and deliver high‑quality services to the community. Key to your success will be your ability to assist the CEO in implementing the organisation's strategic plan and business objectives.

This role is designed for a high‑performing leader looking for an opportunity to take on a broader management role. It offers the chance to contribute meaningfully to the future of the Council and the region.

About You
  • 3–5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role ideally within Local Government or a related sector

The Offer
