Northern Illinois University seeks a dynamic, collaborative dean for the College of Health and Human Sciences. The role leads strategic vision, interdisciplinary collaboration, and partnerships to advance teaching, research and practice in health and human sciences.

Collegial leadership to strengthen programs, recruit and retain diverse faculty, and manage resources within a public research university setting, with a focus on equity and innovation.

Qualifications

• Earned terminal degree from accredited institution.
• Record of teaching and scholarship meriting tenured full professorship.
• 5–10 years of administrative/leadership experience in higher education.
• Commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion.
• Excellence in written and oral communications.

Responsabilités

• Develop a unifying and shared vision for academic excellence within CHHS.
• Strengthen inclusive excellence across faculty, staff and students.
• Plan and oversee development of the new Health Informatics Technology Building (HITC).
• Enhance community engagement and fundraising with external partners.
• Foster transparency, collaboration and shared governance at NIU.
