Zusammenfassung

Excis is seeking a Data Centre Coordinator / IT Engineer – Level 1 to support day-to-day data centre operations and IT infrastructure in Austria. You will act as the first point of contact for IT incidents, assist with asset management, and collaborate with senior engineers and vendors.

The role covers data centre coordination, desktop support, infrastructure checks, and documentation maintenance to ensure reliable IT services.

Qualifikationen

• Diploma/degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2–4 years experience in IT support, desktop support, data centre operations, or a similar role.
• Experience providing Level 1 / first-line IT support.
• Experience with Windows desktop environments and Microsoft 365.
• Basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, VLANs).
• Basic understanding of servers, storage, backup systems, and data centre infrastructure.
• Experience with IT service desk/ticketing systems.
• Experience with hardware installation, troubleshooting, and asset management.
• Good understanding of IT security principles and access controls.
• Willingness to work outside normal business hours when required.

Aufgaben

• Coordinate day-to-day data centre operations and activities.
• Monitor data centre infrastructure, equipment, environmental conditions, and access requirements.
• Maintain servers, network equipment, racks, cabling, power systems, and related documentation.
• Assist with server and network installations, replacements, and decommissioning.
• Provide first-line desktop support to end users via multiple channels.
• Perform password resets and basic account administration.
• Diagnose and resolve common desktop and connectivity issues.
• Escalate complex incidents to higher-level engineers or vendors.
• Maintain accurate incident, request, troubleshooting, and resolution records.
• Assist IT engineers with maintenance of servers, network infrastructure, and storage.
• Follow change, incident, and problem management processes.
