Zusammenfassung

Enery, a renewable energy and data center developer, seeks a Senior Project Developer in Austria to lead site evaluations, coordinate development from early-stage assessment to investment decision, and shape technical strategies across European markets. You will manage external consultants, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and engage stakeholders including operators and utilities.

Fluency in English is required; other European languages are a plus.

Qualifikationen

  • 5+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, energy, industrial, real estate, or data center development.
  • Strong understanding of project development processes and technical feasibility assessments.
  • Experience managing external consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Additional European language skills are a plus.

Key Responsibilities
Project Development
  • Evaluate sites based on power availability, land suitability, connectivity, environmental constraints, and development potential.
  • Lead, guide, and support technical development activities for new data center opportunities.
  • Coordinate project development activities from early-stage assessment through investment decision.
  • Develop project execution strategies and development roadmaps.
Power & Infrastructure
  • Assess grid connection opportunities and power delivery solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams regarding renewable energy hubs, PPAs, battery storage, and energy strategies.
  • Analyze utility infrastructure, transmission availability, and long-term power requirements.
  • Support discussions with utilities, TSOs, DSOs, and infrastructure providers.
Technical Design& Engineering
  • Manage external engineering consultants and technical advisors.
  • Coordinate master planning, concept design, and technical feasibility studies.
  • Define technical requirements based on operator and customer needs.
  • Review design solutions for scalability, reliability, and cost effectiveness.
Stakeholder Management
  • Act as technical lead in discussions with operators, hyperscalers, customers, and infrastructure partners.
  • Support commercial negotiations by translating customer requirements into technical project solutions.
  • Coordinate with authorities, utilities, consultants, and landowners.
  • Guide country managers and development teams in several Central European countries.
  • Identify technical, permitting, infrastructure, and development risks.
  • Support investment committee materials, technical due diligence, and project business cases.
  • Develop CAPEX assumptions and technical development budgets.
  • Ensure projects are advanced to investment-ready status.
Key Requirements
  • Bachelor’s and/orMaster’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical

Engineering, Civil Engineering, Energy Engineering, Infrastructure Development, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in large-scale infrastructure, energy, industrial, real estate, or data center development.
  • Strong understanding of project development processes and technical feasibility assessments.
  • Experience managing external consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
  • Professional proficiency in English.
  • Professional proficiency in other European languages is considered an advantage but is not mandatory.
  • Strong analytical and project management skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Understanding of data center design principles, power density requirements, and critical infrastructure systems.
  • Experience with permitting and infrastructure development in European markets.
  • Direct experience with data centers, digital infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy, transmission systems, or industrial developments.
  • Familiarity with grid connections, substations, and high-voltage infrastructure.

Statutory notice: In accordance with the Austrian collective agreement for employees in information and consulting, the minimum gross monthly salary for this full-time position (40 hours/week) is €2.534,74. Please note that this is a legal requirement. Still, your actual compensation will be based on your qualifications and professional experience, and we would be happy to discuss it with you personally.
