Amihansolutions is seeking a Senior Data Analyst with Data Governance & Data Quality experience. The role focuses on building BI solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric, and advancing enterprise data governance across the organization.

The candidate will work in a hybrid setup for a Swiss-based data center and digital services provider, collaborating with data engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data products.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 4 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
• Experience with Power BI service including workspaces, gateways, dataflows and semantic models.
• Proven data analytics experience in multiple environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, or strong experience with Power BI (Desktop and Service) and Azure data platforms.
• Strong SQL skills to perform data analysis & manipulation and develop gold-layer data products as needed.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Knowledge of data quality management, rules, and validation.
• Experience supporting data governance initiatives, including data stewardship & management and stakeholder engagement.

Senior Data Analyst (With Data Governance & Data Quality Experience)

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Data Analyst with experience in Data Quality & Data Governance to join one of our dynamic client teams at a leading data center and digital service provider based in Switzerland. You will be part of our team implementing an enterprise data platform based on Microsoft Fabric and supporting business intelligence requests from different teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain business reports, dashboards, and analytical solutions using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and maintain gold-layer data products within Microsoft Fabric by implementing business logic.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand data, reporting and analytics requirements and translate them into scalable data products with data engineers.
• Define, implement, and monitor data quality rules, validations, and automated alerts to ensure trusted and reliable data.
• Support data governance initiatives, including data definitions, lineage, ownership, and business glossary management for the wider organization.
• Work closely with data engineers and data architect to ensure data models meet business and analytical requirements.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics, reporting standards, and data platform capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Software Engineering in a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum of 4 years of working experience as a Data Analyst
• Minimum of 1 year of working experience with Power BI service (including basic understanding of workspaces, data gateways, dataflows and semantic models)
• Proven data analytics experience in multiple environments.
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, or strong experience with Power BI (Desktop and Service) and Azure data platforms with the ability to transition to Fabric.
• Strong DAX and Power Query (M) skills to perform data transformations as needed.
• Strong SQL skills to perform data analysis & manipulation and develop gold-layer data products as needed.
• Experience developing dashboards and reports in Power BI.
• Knowledge of data quality management, rules, and validation.
• Experience supporting data governance initiatives, including data stewardship & management and stakeholder engagement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Excellent collaboration and stakeholder management skills.
• Can work independently with minimal oversight, translating ambiguous business requirements to technical solutions.
• Nice to have:
  • Basic understanding of business analysis and architecture.
  • Basic understanding of data architecture, data modelling, and modern data warehousing concepts, such as Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold).
  • Experience implementing advanced techniques in Power BI, such as row-level security (RLS) and incremental refresh in reporting.
  • Basic Python skills.
  • Familiarity with basic statistics, machine learning, and generative AI concepts.
  • Experience with predictive modelling and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD practices for analytics and BI solutions.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
