A position exists for a person to undertake the duties of Casual Field Officer for the Local Action Group – Skeleton Weed – Mortlock Region. The successful person will be required to work as part of a team for the Local Action Group – Skeleton Weed – Mortlock Region, and in partnership with Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development staff and other associated parties to provide a clerical/coordination role, to assist landholders to meet their responsibilities in controlling skeleton weed on their properties.

Work up to 40 hours per week based on a commensurate salary of $30.00 per hour. Hours of contact are 07:30 am to 16:30 pm each day (8 hours/day).

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a point of contact for landholders reporting infestations or suspected infestations of skeleton weed.
  • Assist landholders in meeting their responsibilities for controlling skeleton weed on their properties.
  • Coordinate and maintain clerical records for the Local Action Group.
  • Collaborate with Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development staff and other associated parties.

  • Responsible and reliable, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the stated hours.
  • Must undergo a Medical Assessment including Drug and Alcohol testing prior to commencement of employment.
