About this opportunity

ContractManager responsable for overseeing the contractual aspects of construction projects, ensuring compliance with agreed terms, mitigating risks, and supporting project delivery.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Managing the full lifecycle of construction contracts, from drafting and negotiation to execution and close-out, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks.
  • Identifying, assessing, and mitigating contractual risks, advising project teams on potential issues such as delays, variations, and claims for extensions of time (EOT) or loss and expense.
  • Overseeing variations and change orders, ensuring they are documented, valued, and agreed in line with contract terms and client´s standards.
  • Providing guidance on conflict avoidance, supporting early resolution of issues and escalating to formal dispute resolution processes only when necessary.
  • Drafting and issuing project correspondence on behalf of the client, maintaining strong relationships with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure clarity and alignment.
  • Preparing regular updates on contract status, risks, and issues for internal teams and clients, ensuring transparency and informed decision-making.
  • Ensuring all contractual activities adhere to regional regulations, industry standards and client´s internal policies.
  • Assisting in the preparation of contractual elements for bids and tenders, ensuring terms are clear, competitive, and aligned with client expectations.

Who we’re looking for:
Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills
  • Broad spectrum of technical knowledge relating to contracts management.
  • Experience managing contracts for construction projects.
  • Experience with 100M-150M contract
  • Experience working with FIDIC is a plus.
  • Knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Sound ICT skills, with a high proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Fluency in English. German is a plus.
  • Eligible to work in Austria.
