The Role

The purpose of the role is to manage existing contracts and smooth delivery of our customer metering planned maintenance programs, which may include meter replacements, meter renewals and meter testing programs. The role ensures that works are completed on time & on budget, to high standards of quality, provide support to contract partners, as well as timely and appropriate resolution to issues.

The role will involve leading and/or participating in the procurement/tendering for new service contract. You will work closely with relevant Digital metering team members to ensure a seamless running of digital meter rollout program. You will be required to lead initiatives around program improvements, reporting and building collaborative partnerships with internal & external stakeholders. This role also provides support to other planned maintenance programs within the team, and wider business.

Your key responsibilities
  • Ensure successful delivery of customer metering planned maintenance programs, overseeing all aspects from works issuance to budget management and timely completion of projects.
  • Manage contract partners' workloads efficiently, collaborating with relevant parties to develop high-quality works programs within specified timeframes.
  • Obtain necessary approvals for program delivery, including budget and contractual approvals.
  • Monitor and manage contract partners' performance in accordance with their contract requirements.
  • Cultivate strong collaborative relationships with contract partners and stakeholders, conducting regular site visits and participating in meetings/events.
  • Proactively identify risks, communicate them to key stakeholders, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.
What we’re looking for
  • Strong contract management expertise with a focus on maintenance contracts, including contractor onboarding, running tenders, and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with a proven ability to engage and influence both internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving abilities and the capacity to interpret complex contractual arrangements, ensuring successful project management and compliance.
