Auditing, and Corrective Action Planning
- Design, plan, and conduct on-site social compliance audits to assess adherence to labour standards, modern slavery laws, and TSL’s ethical policies.
- Develop and maintain social compliance audit tools and checklists tailored to our operations and client requirements.
- Prepare detailed audit reports and corrective action plans, follow up on findings, and verify implementation of improvements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding all operational social compliance, ethical supply chain standards, and modern slavery queries.
- Monitor and verify compliance with local labour laws and international conventions (ILO, UK Modern Slavery Act, EU Due Diligence frameworks).
Subcontractor Compliance and Engagement
- Where required, support project and procurement teams in vetting and onboarding subcontractors and labour agencies against social compliance criteria.
- Deliver awareness sessions, toolbox talks, and briefings to site management and workers on ethical labour standards and modern slavery prevention.
- Develop and report KPIs and compliance metrics, including audit completion rates, findings, and corrective action close‑out.
- Conduct risk assessments and mapping of high-risk supply chains or labour sources to identify potential modern slavery indicators.
- Review and analyse documentation and workforce data of our supply chain, including employment contracts, timesheets, pay slips, right-to-work records, and posted worker documentation.
Policy, Standards, and Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with HR, Procurement, HSE, and Project Management to embed ethical practices into everyday site operations.
- Drive continuous improvement in ethical performance, ensuring lessons learned are captured and applied across projects.
- Improve policies and procedures surrounding social compliance topics.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Law, Engineering, Environmental Science, or Occupational Health and Safety
- Knowledge of local labour standards and compliance frameworks
- Familiarity with ethical supply chain principles and social auditing methodologies
