Purpose of the job

As a member of our Global Food Service team, your role is to steer and frame AGRANA Fruit's food service portfolio and resources to readiness for present and future market needs & opportunities, with an in-depth focus in EMEA region towards significantly increasing sales and profitability. The Category Manager Account Solutions Food Service will lead the definition, development and enhancement of our product portfolio's strategy to meet the needs of customers today and in the future, to ensure AGRANA Fruit remains at the forefront of the food industry.

Key responsibilities
Strategy Development
  • Lead the definition, development, steering & enhancement of AGRANA's food service business growth and profitability through its portfolio, pricing, network, and production capabilities.
  • Track and analyse the performance of new products and projects, making data-driven decisions to optimize outcomes.
  • Assist regional & local teams in the effective implementation of the business unit's food service product portfolio strategy.
Category & Innovation Management
  • Manage the food service portfolio.
  • Manage projects that develop proactive and innovative food solutions addressing gaps in product and packaging portfolio offering or performance.
  • Leverage expertise and manage relationships from baristas, mixologists, chefs, and pâtissiers for culinary-inspired product promotions.
  • Align packaging portfolio with market needs and oversee commercialization efforts, including coordination with manufacturers and external agencies.
Project Management and Coordination
  • Act as project coordinator to commercialize new concepts or products and ensure internal coordination with the main stakeholders (innovation, quality, sales, NPD, external partners, legal, etc.) translating a project into a product, concept or solution ready to go to the market.
  • Prepare and support customer meetings by providing market insights, category performance analysis, competitor benchmarks, and tailored recommendations to strengthen Key Account Manager's negotiations and storytelling.
  • Develop customer-specific sales decks and toolkits for QSR and coffee shop accounts, ensuring clear and impactful category arguments aligned with consumer trends and menu opportunities.
  • Act as category expert during key customer visits, contributing to menu ideation, culinary workshops, and co-creation sessions to bring added value beyond product supply.
  • Drive trade marketing initiatives tailored to Food Service, including POS materials, activation with baristas / mixologists / chefs, and targeted promotional support for KAMs.
Market Insights
  • Track and analyze category performance (sell-in / sell-out, rotation, activation results) to identify opportunities and share best practices across customers and segments.
  • Monitor trends and conduct competitive analysis across food service categories.
  • Align local marketing initiatives with global innovation guidelines.
  • Develop AF food service network expertise on global, regional & local market dynamics, including competitive landscape, customer segmentation, product standards, and technological advancements.
  • Conceptualize & organize food service product concepts for global / international trade fairs and events, ensuring AGRANA's impactful brand presence.
Your ideal profile
  • You have over 5 years of experience in product & project management, preferably in multinational companies, bringing along strong intercultural awareness and communication skills.
  • You have extensive market and customer know-how in industrial food processing, B2B, Food Service business.
  • You are able to manage transversal projects and lead international teams.
  • You demonstrate a solution-oriented and goal-oriented way of working combined with analytical and strategic thinking.
  • You are a confident storyteller, able to take large information input and distilling into concise and impactful messages to influence different stakeholders / teams.
  • You are fluent in spoken and written English - any additional language is a plus (Spanish, French, German).

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is EUR 51,169.16 gross p.a. on full-time basis (applicable to Austria only).
