Zusammenfassung

AGRANA Fruit, Vienna, Austria, is seeking a Category Buyer to own end-to-end procurement for assigned categories across Europe and beyond. You will negotiate, manage supplier relationships, and ensure cost quality and supply while contributing to strategic AGRANA Fruit Services procurement planning.

You will work in a truly international team with a focus on cost control, productivity, inventory management and compliance with food safety and corporate guidelines.

Qualifikationen

• University/Master's degree in Economics, Agricultural and Food Economy or equivalent.
• 3–5 years' experience in procurement, preferably in the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong Excel and SAP knowledge; fluent English; another language preferred.

Category Buyer

Full-time, permanent | Location: Vienna

You are passionate about procurement, enjoy negotiating and building strong supplier relationships, and are ready to take on end-to-end responsibility for a purchasing category in a global working environment? Then we have been looking for you! In this role you take full responsibility for all aspects of procurement for your assigned category - from cost control and productivity to inventory management, quality and executional performance - while contributing to the strategic evaluation and execution of the AGRANA Fruit Services procurement plan. As part of the AGRANA Fruit Services organization, you deal with both suppliers and clients mainly in Europe, occasionally with a global scope.

Your tasks:

• Own end-to-end procurement for assigned categories, balancing cost, quality, supply and inventory performance
• Develop and implement category sourcing strategies, optimize supplier portfolios and identify new sourcing opportunities
• Manage supplier performance, pricing and quality while driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Monitor market trends and cost drivers, ensure reliable material supply for affiliates in line with AGRANA's sourcing strategy
• Lead procurement projects and coordinate activities with affiliates and stakeholders
• Bring value to the organization via ensuring supply resilience, drive cost savings through tenders, negotiations and productivity initiatives to reduce direct spend from a total-cost-of-ownership perspective and achieve budget targetsMonitor market trends, identify innovations and ensure compliance with food safety and corporate guidelines

Your ideal profile:

• University / Master's degree in Economics, Agricultural and Food Economy or a comparable field; food technology know-how is an advantage
• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a similar procurement role, ideally in the food manufacturing industry
• Experience in purchasing processed agricultural raw materials is a strong asset
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Strong Excel and SAP knowledge
• Fluent English; a second language is preferred

Due to legal reasons, we are obliged to disclose the minimum salary according to the collective agreement for this position, which is € 43.324,40 gross per year. Overpayment depending on qualifications and experience is possible.
