We are looking for a highly driven Product Owner with a strong foundation in software engineering and product development to lead the creation and evolution of our core data analysis platform.

YOUR IMPACT
  • Serve as the dedicated Product Owner for Scrum teams, owning, prioritizing, and managing the product backlog. This includes crafting clear epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria aligned with strategic business goals and our users’ needs.
  • Act as the critical bridge between scientific stakeholders (Bioinformaticians, Scientists) and our software development team, translating complex scientific/operational needs into clear, functional, and technical requirements.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the software architecture, interfaces, and data pipelines to make informed trade‑off decisions and ensure solutions are scalable, stable, and integrated with our existing instrumentation and cloud platforms.
  • Contribute to the software product roadmap, coordinate release plans, and drive successful, on‑time delivery across the software development lifecycle together with the customer engagement team and the development team.
  • Collaborate with QA and validation teams to ensure our software meets necessary quality and compliance standards, producing required documentation (e.g., Software Requirements Specifications, Risk Analysis).
  • Champion user experience by analyzing existing workflows, identifying pain points, and driving feature enhancements that improve efficiency for our end‑users.
YOUR SKILLS
  • Two years or more of industry experience in an agile software development environment as a Product Owner.
  • Three years or more of hands‑on software engineering experience in a software product environment. Experience in web development, especially with TypeScript/React/Mantine, is a plus but not required.
  • Understanding of bioinformatics or related life science fields.
  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Technical competency with tools such as GitHub, GitHub Projects, Jira, Confluence, or similar requirement management systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of English (German is optional).

The target compensation for this position ranges between €52,000 and €56,000 per year, depending on your experience and qualifications. However, the compensation package will be adjusted according to your qualifications and experience. We look forward to hearing from you via career@datavisyn.io.
