Zusammenfassung

AT&S in Leoben is seeking a Backup & Storage Specialist to ensure reliable, secure, and efficient backup and data protection across our IT landscape. You will manage Veeam B&R, Veeam ONE, deduplication appliances, and tape systems while supporting daily operations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in backup and storage infrastructure, hands-on Kubernetes backup, and skills in PowerShell or Bash. English fluency is required; German is a plus.

Qualifikationen

• Completed education in IT, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in backup & storage infrastructure administration.
• Proven experience with enterprise backup/recovery solutions, preferably Veeam B&R and Veeam ONE.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized workloads backup/recovery.
• Automation and scripting experience with PowerShell, Bash, REST APIs, or similar.
• Experience with enterprise tape libraries, media management, and retention solutions.
• Understanding of enterprise storage platforms (NetApp, Dell EMC, HPE, or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of VMware, Windows Server, Linux, and general infra environments.
• Experience with file server migrations (NAS/CIFS/NFS) and large data migrations.
• Fluency in English; German is a plus.

Aufgaben

• Operate and maintain Veeam B&R, Veeam ONE, deduplication appliances, and HPE tape systems.
• Design, monitor, and optimize backup, recovery, and data protection across virtual, physical, cloud, and Kubernetes environments.
• Administer and support backup and recovery for Kubernetes and containerized workloads.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, API) for tasks, reporting, monitoring, and recovery workflows.
• Plan and execute file servers, NAS, and data migration projects with minimal business disruption.
• Manage tape infrastructure, media rotation, offsite vaulting, and long-term retention.
• Perform restores, disaster recovery testing, and recovery exercises for critical services.
• Maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with VMware, Linux, Windows, Cloud, and Infra teams to ensure reliable data protection.
