YOUR JOB

As a Software Architect, you will be responsible for the strategic design and technical governance of our enterprise e-commerce platforms. In this role, you will work with various products from SAP’s CX ecosystem, guiding both our clients and our internal teams through complex, large-scale digital transformations.

Your Job’s Key Responsibilities Are

• Defining the vision by supporting our clients in establishing the long-term technical vision and architectural roadmap for their most critical e-commerce solutions
• Architecting for scale by designing robust, scalable, and resilient solutions, mastering the complexities and integrations of the SAP CX ecosystem (particularly SAP Commerce Cloud)
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into robust architectural designs
• Working closely with Product Leads and Agile Delivery Leads to ensure the architectural integrity and quality of all deliverables
• Establishing and enforcing architectural standards and best practices through design reviews and mentorship
• Mentoring development teams on architectural principles and advanced technical topics
• Actively participating in the continuous improvement of our technical strategy and architectural patterns

Your Skills

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of experience in a Software Architect role responsible for high-level design and technical leadership
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English (min. B2 level)
• Completed technical studies related to software engineering
• Ability to choose the right architectural approach (microservices, service-oriented architecture) for the existing project landscape
• High personal standards regarding non-functional requirements (scalability, performance, security, quality)

Beneficial Skills

• Proven experience of 4+ years in enterprise software engineering
• Hands-on experience with the SAP CX suite, particularly SAP Commerce Cloud (Hybris)
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Basic knowledge of modern web ops operation principals
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Solid experience with the Java and Spring ecosystems
• Experience with headless e-commerce concepts and modern front-end frameworks
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and infrastructure-as-code tools
• German language skills

The actual salary depends on your qualifications and experience. What is also important to us is to pay our employees an internally comparable salary. For legal reasons, we need to disclose the minimum annual salary for full time employment as stated in the current collective IT agreement, which is € 53.802,00 gross/year for this position.
