Qualifications

B&R Automation & APROL Specialist (m/f/d)

Your role

As B&R Automation & APROL Specialist, you will combine automation engineering, application support, technical consulting, and partner development.

You will act as the technical interface between P-CEE, our customers, technology partners, suppliers, and engineering teams. Your expertise will help to ensure technical concepts, assess product selection, professional project execution, and reliable support throughout the entire solution lifecycle.

The position focuses on B&R Automation, APROL DCS/ICS solutions, machine automation, and End-of-Line applications. Depending on your experience and professional interests, you will gradually develop into a leading technical specialist and, in the medium term, into a technical-sales specialist with responsibility for customers, partners, and projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support sales and business-development activities for B&R Automation and APROL-based solutions
• Analyse customer requirements and develop technically and commercially viable automation concepts
• Support customers in designing and developing application software for machine automation
• Provide technical consulting and support the selection and configuration of B&R and APROL products
• Support commissioning, system optimization, troubleshooting, and technical service — remotely and on-site
• Collaborate with engineering teams on B&R and APROL integration, migration, modernization, and lifecycle topics
• Contribute to machine automation, process automation, and End-of-Line solution projects
• Conduct technical training and share application and product know-how with partners and customers
• Prepare quotations, technical documentation, system specifications, and project proposals
• Coordinate with customers, suppliers, engineering partners, and logistics providers throughout project execution
• Support procurement, order processing, delivery schedules, and project-related logistics when required
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, distributors, technology partners, and suppliers
• Identify technical and commercial opportunities and develop them jointly with the P-CEE team
• Gradually assume responsibility for customer accounts, partner development, and technical sales activities

Your profile

• Practical and up to date experience with B&R Automation technology
• Strong knowledge of APROL Distributed Control Systems and Industrial Control Systems (starting with R 4.2-xx)
• Experience in machine automation, process automation, control engineering, or industrial application development
• Knowledge of B&R Automation Studio, PLC programming, motion control, visualization, industrial communication, safety technology and IIoT solutions
• Experience with APROL engineering, commissioning, system administration, lifecycle management, or modernization projects
• Experience in customer support or project engineering is an advantage
• Ability to understand customer requirements and translate them into technically and commercially viable solutions
• Structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
• Confident and professional communication with customers, partners, and engineering teams
• Good written and spoken German and English
• Willingness to travel occasionally for customer meetings, commissioning, training, and partner support
• Interest in developing from a technical role toward customer, partner, and sales responsibility

The minimum gross salary for this position is based on the applicable Austrian collective agreement. The actual salary will be agreed according to the candidate's qualifications, professional experience, agreed working hours, and level of responsibility.
